1. Simple Present  

berfungsi untuk menyakatan suatu fakta, kebiasaan atau kejadian yang terjadi pada saat ini.
Contoh :

• kalimat tanpa kata kerja (S + to be + C)

1. (+)  he is smart
    (-) he is not smart
    (?) is he smart ?

2. (+) they are volleyball Players
    (-) They are not volleyball players
    (?) Are they volleyball players ?

• Kalimat dengan kata kerja (S + V1 + s/es + C)

1. (+) I watch boxing on television

    (-)  I do not watch boxing on television

    (?) does he watch boxing on television ?

    Pasif : the boxing is watched by me on television

2. (+) Rena reads  Naruto comics

    (-) Rena does not read Naruto comics

    (?) does she read Naruto comics?

    Pasif : Naruto comics is read by rena

2. Present Continous

berfungsi untuk menjelaskan kegiatan yang "sedang" terjadi saat ini

struktur : S + to be + Ving + C

contoh :

(+) encek is Playing guitar 

(-) encek is not playing guitar

(?) is encek playing guitar ?

Pasif : the guitar is being played by encek

3. Present Perfect

berfungsi untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang "sudah" berlalu atau kejadian di masa lalu 

contoh :

• Kalimat tanpa kata kerja ( S + have/has + been + C )

1. (+) I have been to paris four times

    (-)  I have not been to paris four times

    (?) have you been to paris four times ?

2. (+) The snow has gone

    (-) The snow has not gone

    (?) has the snow been gone ? 

• Kalimat dengan kata kerja  (S + have/has + V3 + C )

1. (+) I have listened this song before

    (-) I have not listened this song before

    (?) have you listened this song before ?

    Pasif : the song has been listened by me

2. (+) I have invited you last night

     (-) I have not invited you last night

     (?) have you invited me last night ?

    Pasif : i have been invited by you last night
